The Table Is Growing
When I first envisioned The Pour, I knew I wanted to continue creating spaces for women to gather.
Not another event where we rushed in, followed an agenda, took a few pictures, and rushed back to our lives.
I wanted a table.
A place where women could exhale.
A place where the woman who is always pouring into everyone else could finally sit down and receive.
A place where conversation could be honest, laughter could be loud, tears could fall freely, hugs could linger, and community could happen naturally.
What I didn’t fully realize was that something beautiful would begin to happen when women simply had permission to come as they are. And now, as I look back over the tables we’ve shared since my pivot in June, I can see it.
The Pour really is more than a brunch. There’s something happening around the table.
At every gathering, I’ve watched women who may have entered the room as strangers leave feeling connected. I’ve watched conversations move beyond the surface. I’ve watched women laugh, cry, hug, encourage one another, and realize that they’re not alone. I’ve watched walls come down, shared stories, restored confidence, and women remember who they are:
Not just women attending an event. Women becoming connected.
Not just women enjoying brunch. Women being reminded that they deserve to be poured into, too.
Not just a beautiful table. A community that extends beyond the table.
And apparently, there are women everywhere who have been waiting for exactly that.
So, I’m excited to share that The Pour is expanding to Tallahassee!
What began around a table in Jacksonville is now making its way to Florida’s capital city, and I couldn’t be more excited about what this next chapter holds.
As The Pour continues to grow, one thing remains the same: Every table starts with an invitation.
